Duarte's Events ("we," "us," or "our") operates duartesevents.com and an internal team scheduling tool. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Gmail Access (Booking Sync)

We use one dedicated Gmail inbox to receive booking notification emails from our third-party booking platform, Viator. A background process we built reads that inbox using read-only access to Gmail (the gmail.readonly scope) so that new, amended, and cancelled bookings can be automatically added to our internal team calendar, instead of a team member copying each one over by hand.

What this access does:

• Searches only for emails from Viator's booking notification address
• Reads the booking details in those emails (client name, travel date, tour, price, etc.)
• Stores that information in our own private database to populate our team calendar

What this access never does:

• Never reads, opens, or processes any other email in the inbox
• Never sends, deletes, modifies, or forwards any email
• Never shares Gmail data with any third party, advertiser, or other service

Booking data read from these emails is stored securely and is only visible to authorized Duarte's Events team members through our internal tool. We keep it for as long as needed to run our events business (e.g., scheduling, payment tracking, and tax records) and delete it on request.

Information From Our Website and Clients

When you submit an inquiry or booking request through our website, we collect the information you provide (such as name, email, phone number, and event details) to respond to your request and plan your event. We do not sell or rent this information to third parties.
